Today was my first attempt at the Welsh Boarder 5 (Famous 5) all on the same day.

As the famous five are basically on my doorstep I didn’t need a 6 a.m. start, so I left home at 7:30 a.m. and arrived at my usual car park spot of grid SO 58548 86899 at 8:00 a.m. after a quick stop to take a great morning sunrise photo. I got all my gear ready and started my ascent.
