VHF National Field Day contest

TDARS members organised an annual outing to the Long Mynd to take part in the national society, RSGB’s  National Field Day on VHF frequencies in July and enjoyed working stations all over the country and Europe.

Five stations were set up on a patch of the Long Mynd that is near the trig point but separate to the National Trust.  TDARS take safety very seriously and take precautions against anything they may go wrong.  We have a fire point and do a scrupulous litter check on leaving the land.

The public may have been surprised to see various vehicles going up the Burway and in convoy back down it – thank you for your patience while we did this.

We look forward to the results from the RSGB!

Visitors are welcome notice on the TDARS banner as shows by the stations on top of the Long Mynd
